Voxelgrids is an Magnetic Resonance Imaging technology startup that is based out of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
The Voxelgrids team comprises of Mechanical engineers, RF engineers and MRI Physicists with decades of experience in the field. Voxelgrids was founded by Dr.Arjun Arunachalam
Voxelgrids is supported by the Foundation for Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship (FISE), which is also known as Social Alpha. FISE is an initiative of the Tata Trusts www.tatatrusts.org.
Voxelgrids has also received grant support from the Indo-US Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF).
Our first installation site is at Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences (SSSIHMS), Whitefield, Bengaluru. SSSIHMS is our clinical partner in this endeavour.
Voxelgrids announces the successful deployment of a next generation whole body 1.5 Tesla MRI scanner, in Bengaluru, India. The scanner is compact with an exceptionally small footprint. It is also Ultra lightweight and can installed on any floor of a hospital.
This Voxelgrids scanner is fully portable! It can be "switched on or switched off" on demand. For example, the scanner can be mounted on a truck, "switched off" and taken to the remotest towns and villages where it can be "switched on" for MRI scanning at a patient's door step.
Voxelgrids proprietary technologies enable exceptional acceleration of MRI scans. 2D scans can be accelerated by factors of 6 to12 while 3D scans can be accelerated by factors of 18 or more. The scanner currently provides 48-channel receiver systems.
Exceptionally low power consumption (60-70% lower than comparable systems)
State of the art gradient systems (Strength: 50mT/m and slew rates: 125T/m/s to 150T/m/s)
Full software suite of Imaging sequences
Next generation electronics that enable signal digitization near source to achieve outstanding image quality
